What are you expecting from this year’s Careers Fair?

We are looking for undergraduates who would be interested in the structured internship program that we have to offer. This shall primarily cater to business, psychology and science students. Furthermore, we are expecting to build a network of PhD students who would be interested in working with Taylor’s as lecturers in the field of engineering, medicine, communications and architecture.

What positions is your company currently interested in filling?

We have positions open for those interested in educational counseling, student services, marketing and lecturers. In essence, we have multiple positions depending on the area of specialization.

What are the top 3 qualities that your company looks for when hiring fresh grads?

Firstly it would be communication skills, a degree of leadership and thirdly academic achievements since we are an educational institution.

Any advice for fresh grads hoping to build a career in your employment sector?

The only we would like to give is that it is essential to be very passionate about your work. One needs to understand what their true calling really is. It is the intrinsic drive to serve people that will take one ahead in their career..

Can you give us an approximate range of the starting salaries at your company?

Salaries will commensurate as per industry standards.

What are you expecting from this year’s Careers Fair?

We are expecting to see students who are confident in the way they carry and present themselves and those who are open to exploring different career options. We are expecting a large turnout of students.

What positions is your company currently interested in filling?

Teach for Malaysia is known for the graduate fellowship program wherein Malaysian graduates would be placed in low income schools all over the country to teach disadvantaged children. We also have short term internship positions for Malaysian graduates.

What are the top 3 qualities that your company looks for when hiring fresh grads?

Firstly, Teach for Malaysia looks for highly motivated and self driven individuals. Secondly, communication skills not restricted to writing and speaking but confident and articulate in their presentation and lastly, relationship building skills which would include the way they connect with other people at work.

Any advice for fresh grads hoping to build a career in your employment sector?

If graduates are seeking employment with Teach for Malaysia, we would strongly urge them to develop a strong and deep understanding of what Teach for Malaysia. The best way would be by connecting with people from the organization to get a glimpse of the challenges people have faced in the sector.

Can you give us an approximate range of the starting salaries at your company?

Salaries will be competitive to what fresh graduates are paid.
