The summer holidays are approaching and it’s that time of the year again to start making some travel plans! There’s dozens of destination options just in Malaysia alone.

But here we list five great destinations for you to visit this summer break.

1. George Town, Penang

Home to many of the best-tasting food in the country, George Town is a must-visit city for your summer holidays. The streets are filled with traditional cafes, historical buildings and beautiful temples.

2. Pulau Perhentian, Terengganu

Perhentian is considered one of the most beautiful islands in Malaysia. The activities here include scuba diving, snorkelling and canoeing, aside from it being the perfect fit for you to have a laid-back and relaxing time in this peaceful paradise.

3. Cameron Highlands, Pahang

With its high altitude, the highlands produce a cooler climate than the usual city weather and there’s so much to do here! The number of famous tea plantations marks the destination’s popularity, as well as the many strawberry and vegetable farms.

4. Taman Negara, Pahang

This national park is one of the oldest rainforests in Malaysia. You are able to do so many activities here in the rainforest including jungle trekking and night safari.

5. Malacca City, Malacca.

Malacca is always a great go to holiday destination. It is rich with historical sites, such as Dutch Fort and Christ Church, and the city offers loads of interesting and tasty food, perfect for the foodie in you. You can also ride around town in a trishaw when it’s been a long day of walking!
